Easter Sunday we sent out the above picture to our families. In case you cannot read the writing on the shirt (which was very hard to photograph on a squirmy three year-old!) it says: "Big Brother In Training. Reports for duty September 4th, 2008." We let Brett announce the big news - we will have our 4th baby in September.
Easter morning Scott hid the eggs the boys colored earlier in the week in our backyard along with some plastic eggs filled with little pictures of Jesus, CTR rings and other fun stuff from the local LDS bookstore. That turned out really nice and surprisingly the boys did not even mention the missing C-A-N-D-Y. We also put out a few "special" eggs that the boys opened last. Inside we put a tiny knit baby cap, a pacifier and a miniature t-shirt that at one time actually fit my big boys! After a myriad of hints they finally made the connection about welcoming a new baby into our family. It was sweet to see the huge smile on David's face. I know Chad is excited too although really I do not think Brett has a clue what is going on! Or how his life is about to change in 5 short months...
After telling the boys we were ready and excited to spread the news. Although it has been so long since I have posted anything on this blog I have no idea if anyone is still reading!
I am finally climbing out of the abyss of nausea and fatigue that tormented me during January, February and part of March. And I do have so much to post about our comings and goings thus far this year so I am hoping that this entry might get me back on track.
